I was tagged by Kyle at Rather Be Shopping for a new meme challenge-The Budget Busters Challenge. I am supposed to list the 5 things that can keep me from staying on budget and then I tag 3 bloggers to do the same. Sounds good - defiantly something I can handle.
So check it out -
1. Taco Bell Sweet Tea and TCBY Chocolate Yogurt
It's totally addictive, within 5 minutes of my house AND they both have drive thrus. Plus they are both on the way home from the pool in the summer. The cards are stacked against me every where I turn. The only consolation for me is that there is also a CVS, WAGS and Target on the way to the club - so at least I can save money there. How is it I can drop 10.00 at TCBY and not blink but if I pay more than a buck or two at CVS I want to have a heart attack! lol.
2. Resale Shops and Clothing Clearance racks
I love to shop - we've already established that fact. But I really like to shop for clothes. I never EVER pay full price. Ok - maybe for underwear and socks but that's it. Clearance racks call my name as soon as I walk in the store. It's bad. I even know the mark down schedule for Target. I'd share it with you but if you wear my size you'll beat me there! Leave the 8 1/2 s for me!!!
3. My kids
Can I have a dollar for a snack after practice? Mom, my jeans are really short. Are you supposed to be able to see my socks? Mom, I just noticed another hole in my sock. Can you buy me some more? I only have three left (three socks - not three pairs) Mom, I'm thirsty and hungry - how much longer till dinner? etc, etc, etc, etc. You get the idea. If they would just stop growing and eating. Stop wearing out every piece of clothing that still fits them. Stop having some many places to be. sigh........life goes on (and on and on and on).
4. Hubby
He works so hard and never complains. He's so thoughtful of our budget. If he asks for it it means he really wants it. He usually works side jobs to pay for his hobbies, but sometimes we make allowances out of our regular budget. He's worth it.
5. Movies
and popcorn!! You can't forget the popcorn. Summertime is a big budget killer for us because that's when all the good movies come out. It's a big splurge with us. Last summer we were at the movies every two weeks. We saw all the good ones. There's nothing like watching a movie in the theatre with a big coke, buttery popcorn and peanut M & Ms.

3 Chat about it:
Oh - I'm in! I've been wanting to post something on this for a while... :-)
Thanks for playing along! I can relate to #3. My oldest, who is in Kindergarten, just went through another pair of shoes, he wore the toe right out of one of them. Fuuny thing is when we bought them, we paid for a quality pair thinking he could wear them until June...wrong! I told my wife I will just Duct-tape the ends of them! She didn't think that was funny....
Hey there! How fun! Thanks for including me!!
I just got mine done..
Have a great weekend..
oh yea.. my DH was one of my 5 too.LOL..
